Do good in your neighborhood!
Moov is a map for people who want to find ways to connect with their community. A centralized source of good in the neighborhood, Moov gives volunteers a single place to browse local opportunities, organizations, and events–while giving organizations an effective tool to share them. Moov simplifies and personalizes the search process by allowing users to use their skills, interests, location, and other filters to discover the perfect fit.
Meet the Moov team!
My work for Moov and a full-time gig at Zendesk fulfill my love of using technology to connect people to good projects. I love sports of all sorts – in Madison I play hockey with MGHA and ultimate frisbee with MUFA. I also casually run or walk 5k’s with friends, and find Ironman inspiring but will be a forever spectator-supporter.

A short history of moov
In June of 2014, Moov began as a small but mighty group of twenty-somethings who wanted to do more for their community than play intramural sports, attend trivia, and drink beer. We wanted to invest ourselves and our time in a direct way — we wanted to apply our values based in volunteering, civic participation, and natural inclination towards action – to a wider demographic than where we found ourselves.
Over the next few years
We invested our time and our talents to the organizations we love and got to know more about our city through our shared experiences. We spoke to others about Moov as our passion project, and as it garnered excitement and new attention, we decided to make it our priority to develop an online platform that shows all of the goodness going on, on a map.
We are volunteers and freelancers, athletes and coaches, board members and full-time employees, retirees and students… all citizens angling to understand more and do more good within the community that surrounds us. Through our collective work, projects, and participation, we will build up our community.
